It is past time for the men of God – especially those in the pulpits – to rise up, set aside their work on the foundations of God’s Temple, and build up the protective walls. It is past time for church leaders to arm the other men in their congregations with shields of faith and swords of the Spirit and to train them in the skills of cultural combat.
Do Not Imitate the German Churches
In his books, Bonhoeffer and Letter to the American Church (and his new documentary), Eric Metaxas described how the churches in Germany failed to stand against the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich. Metaxas showed that the churches decided to remain out of politics and allowed that evil to take over the German culture and government. This led to the horrors of WWII and the persecution of those churches.
In the same way, Eric writes, American churches have been muzzled by religious leaders and government policies. Preachers have been told to stay out of politics or to face hard consequences.
In his book and his free documentary with the same message, Eric Metaxas declares it is past time for American preachers to throw off the chains of preaching “only the gospel of salvation”. It is past time for preachers to join the Black Robed Regiment of the American Revolution and call their people to prayer and action.
Past Time to Rise Up and Fight
It is past time for believers to act
- against the ungodly government
- against the ungodly education system
- against ungodly business practices.
(Not against businesses themselves or against capitalism but against ungodly business practices.)

It is past time for God’s people to gather in ecclesias and pray then act against the barbarians in our nation. We must act if God’s Kingdom is to return to America.
