My Message to a Small Group of Believers
This blog post is Part 2 of the write-up of a message I gave to a small group of believers who meet regularly in an older couple’s home. I concluded the message of progressive truths for God’s people 2 by talking about Kingdom communities.
Kingdom Communities
My Ark 1.0 Experience
When I asked God what I should share with this group, I immediately perceived them as a community of believers. I remembered living in such a community, an outgrowth of the New Wineskins Christian Fellowship in college. I found a picture of the Ark, the building in which we lived.
What did we have?

- several households and families
- married couples, some with families
- singles mens and single womens households
- geographically close
- mutually supportive
- serving one another
- personal growth
- financial help and growth
- grace of generosity
- teaching Kingdom economic values
- weathering the storms in society.
A financial storm has been prophesied because of the leftist economic policies of the Biden administration. Pressure and temptation (tribulation) against God’s people have been prophesied. Believers need to be able to support each other.
Fred told me he used to live in a group based on the book of Acts. Acts 2:44-47 gives us an example of Godly community.
Chip Ingram spoke of authentic Christian community.
Fighting Against Lies of Elitists and Moral Decay in Society
Mario Murillo and Eric Metaxas have spoken out against:
- genetic manipulations that led to Covid-19 and keeping God’s people from gathering
- sexual revolution that led to transgenderism
- separation of God from schools that led to our children not being taught by parents but being taught sexual lies that led to transgenderism
- separation of God from government that led to God’s people being afraid to speak out and to plagues of riots, BLM, and Woke preaching
- destruction of small business
- stupidity and filth of TV and movies
- propaganda of media
- opposition to free speech.
Celtic Communities
George G. III Hunter wrote The Celtic Way of Evangelism, Tenth Anniversary Edition: How Christianity Can Reach the West . . . Again

Patrick, Columba, and Aiden created these communities in Ireland and western Europe. Groups of believers, led by bishops and clergy, went into pagan territories to bring the people into God’s Kingdom. The colonists built enclosures for their daily routines of life, for safe zones and refuges. No violence was allowed within. Their Celtic methods were to
- live with and understand native culture
- teach a Kingdom perspective of native culture
- invite natives to belong then come to believe
- remove oppressive influences: idolatry, slavery.
The Roman Church had other methods. Its leaders would teach and enforce mental beliefs. This led to the Inquisitions and the Thirty Years War in Germany. The leaders enforced Roman church culture. They made an issue of how to calculate the date for Easter and the way of cutting monks’ hair. They destroyed the Celtic methods and imposed the control of the Roman church hierarchy.
Coming Shaking
Lance Wallnau says that America is going the way of Hell due to lawlessness. There is a need for changed thinking (repentance) in society and in the Church. Pain leads to these changes.
God’s judgment is to give us bad leaders for correction – not destruction.
Haggai 2 speaks of the shaking of all nations. It’s to shake out the godless. It will cause the nations to come to the Desire of Nations. God’s people will bring Kingdom solutions to society’s problems.
God gives His glory to His people, who are not mere survivors. Nations will come, seeking King Jesus in His Ecclesia.
The glory of the latter Temple will be greater than of the former. It will be seen in his people.
We will need to make necessary connections. First with King Jesus through the living sacrifice of our bodies. We need to be under control of the Spirit – not the desires of our appetites.
We will need to connect with other believers. Each believer is a stone in the Temple. Together we form a place for God to dwell. Read Ephesians 2:20. King Jesus is revealed in His people.
The heavens will be shaken. This is the realm of spirits.
Jesus said, “Look up, for your redemption comes close.” God’s enemies are being pushed down. Therefore, Earth becomes darker and darker. The light of ecclesia becomes brighter and brighter. The results of evil are reversed through healing, rescue, and justice. And the gates of Hades cannot resist God’s ecclesia.
Work of Ecclesia in Community
Examples are:
- Celtic monastic communities
- New Wineskins Christian Fellowship
- KYLO community in El Dorado Hills, CA
- Underground church
Application
So, what are we, God’s people, called to do? How do we live out these progressive truths for God’s people 2?
Love one another.
- Create joints – relationships – as revealed in Ephesians 4:15-16.
- Serve one another.
- Live in each other’s lives.
Gather together for worship, communiques from the King, and declaring of His will.
- Sing songs about his greatness and holiness – not about His love for me nor invitations to be present; He already is.
- Hear and declare what Jesus is saying today.
- Thus Jesus has said; thus let it be done. (Captain Picard’s “Make it so”?)
Work together to bring about His will.
- Move those Seven Mountains of Society; at least, enter to influence them.
- Mobilize like-minded people.
- Stand against ungodly, lying forces.
- Display the Kingdom through community.
- Bring people into the community to teach and disciple them.
Work for Sustainable Change in Communities
Cormac Russell: Sustainable community development: from what’s wrong to what’s strong
God’s people can work on community improvement. To do that we must work with what’s strong in people – not what’s wrong. Use
- skills and resources of local residents
- power of local social networks
- resources of public, private, non-profit institutions
- physical and economic resources of local places
- stories of shared lives.
Questions
Can you leave behind the institutional Church and find God and His Kingdom among other believers in your neighborhood?
Can you work with them to build ecclesia community?
