PREVIOUS POST CONTINUED
My last post gave various illustrations of heroes of the Bible partnering with God. This one will give examples of modern partners.
MODERN EXAMPLES
Certainly since the 1940s, many preachers and teachers have taught partnering with God to bring His solutions to people’s problems, especially in the areas of health, wealth, and wellbeing. They have healed the sick, raised the dead, driven out demons, and supplied food and other resources to people in need.
These modern-day followers and colonial leaders of King Jesus include
- Kenneth Hagin
- Oral Roberts
- Kenneth Copeland
- Gary Keesee
- Bill Johnson
- Randy Clark
SCRIPTURES
For a recent conference at Bethel Church in Redding, CA, Randy Clark brought his School of Healing & Impartation. He spoke about the tools of words of knowledge and of declaring what one expected from God. Then he shared several stories of healing and Bible verses to support them.
2 Corinthians 4:13. It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak…
2 Corinthians 1:20. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us (emphasis Randy’s) to the glory of God.
Mark 9:23. And Jesus said to him, “If you can! All things are possible to him who believes.”
1 Corinthians 11:1. Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
1 John 5:14-15. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
Like most Christians today I always believed these verses were about believing the Good News of salvation. However, I came to understand that being rescued from rebellion against God is only the starting gate for our race.

- Acts 20:24 * 1 Corinthians 9:24
- Galatians 2:2 * Galatians 5:7
- 2 Timothy 4:7 * Hebrews 12:1
LIMITING FACTOR OF PEOPLE’S LIMITED FAITH
Randy Clark said that when we partner with our loving Father, He does not want to be limited by Christians’ faulty theology concerning His sovereignty. He does not choose to withhold healing and supply from some people for whatever reason. (Matthew 7:11) Rather, just as the people of Nazareth’s lack of trust limited Jesus (Mark 6:4-6), so Christians’ lack of faith, their worldly mindset limits Him today. As we exercise more and more trusting obedience, we receive more and more results of His favor.
QUESTIONS
Could you have a worldly mindset that cannot accept the benefits of Kingdom life?
If the Father has a good purpose for you, wouldn’t He partner with you and provide the resources, the success He needs you to pass on to others?
