God’s Ultimate Goal Is to Dwell in All the Earth

Introduction

Many Christians will tell you that what God wants most is for people to love and obey Him so they can come and live with Him in Heaven. The problem is that God created people with bodies, which are not designed for the spiritual realms. Even humans’ ultimate end is to have spiritual bodies… for living on the New Earth. God’s ultimate goal is to dwell in all the Earth.

Created Realms and Bodies

The second Creation story clearly shows that God Almighty made companions for Himself by creating Humanity. To do that, He used the dust of the Earth. He molded a body and breathed Life into it. He made Humanity to live on the Earth with its partially organized jungle chaos. Yahweh brought order to part of the jungle and made a garden in which Humanity could live and to which they could invite the Creator. He came for times of fellowship, communion, evening meals (Revelation 3:20) before the time of rest that began the Hebrew day.

The Creator told Humanity to continue the work of spreading the Garden of Pleasure in His presence throughout the Earth. He wanted all of Humanity to cover the Earth and to take Him with them. Isaiah 11:9 says “…the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14 says “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”

God Forbidden to Enter into Earth Realms without Invitation

Elohim created two separate realms, the heavens and the Earth (Genesis 1:1) He created spiritual beings to inhabit the heavens: cherubim, seraphim, all the heavenly army.

He created Humanity to inhabit and rule on the Earth. (Gen 1:26) According to Psalm 115:16, the heavens belong to Yahweh but the Earth He gave to Humanity. Spirit beings – including God Himself – need to be invited by humans to enter the earthly realms.

The Creator had that invitation when He walked with Humanity in the cool of the evening. Then humans rejected His reign and took the knowledge of good vs. evil to themselves. They cast Him out of their lives, so He cast them out of the Garden of Pleasure in Him.

They chose to submit to the Enemy, so he now has a presence and influence on the Earth. Jesus said He saw the Enemy cast down to the Earth. And he certainly has a lot of human cooperation with his schemes to steal, kill, and destroy.

Through His ecclesia, Jesus is spreading His Kingdom and destroying the works of the Enemy. Jesus became human in order to bring the Kingdom “near at hand”. God once more dwelled on Earth with humans. Yes, Jesus took His resurrected, spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:42-44) back to sit beside – on? – the Throne of Heaven. But He will one day return to make His throne on the Earth. In John 14:2, He said He was going to prepare many places for His followers to live in – not mansions. I believe these places will be on the New Earth (Revelation 21:1-3). God will bring everything back to His original plan. God’s ultimate goal is to dwell in all the Earth.
