Introduction
Among the several men I would call my mind-renewers, Myles Munroe has been replaced at the top. That place of honor in my mind and heart now goes to Lance Wallnau. He has been explaining the truths of God for this new day. And yet, I find I have disagreement with my teacher.
Slingshots?
I cringe every time I hear Lance talk about young David going up against Goliath. Lance says the boy killed the giant with a slingshot! That is like saying he shot at a walking fortress with a BB-gun – a boy’s toy. To my mind, that wouldn’t have done more than greatly annoy the warrior. (I toned down my words from the vulgar ones I really mean.)

By comparison, the sling David used was more like a .45 pistol. The use of centrifugal force from a long leather strap – no Y-shaped stick – flung the stone – not a pebble – with tremendous force.
Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. (1 Sam 17:49)
Lance, please. Take “shot” out of the word for the military weapon David used.
Christian Nationalists
The other issue on which I have disagreement with my teacher is about the label of “Christian Nationalist”. He spoke in a YouTube video with another valued speaker, Mario Murillo – Donald Trump REVEALS… (35:35). Lance said our opponents label believers in an attempt to make us sound extremist and irrational. Our opponents are working to pit group against group, ethnicity against ethnicity, so they can divide and conquer.
Instead, all Americans must rise up, regardless of “race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, etc.” and be patriotic nationalists. It would be better still if all Americans surrendered to King Jesus and returned this nation to its godly heritage.
No Objection to the Label
I agree with Lance on all that. However, I object to the notion of rejecting the label of Christian nationalists. In their novel, Gryphon in Light, Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon put this bit of wisdom.
One of the shoutherners (sic) pointed out – wisely – that a word is only truly an insult if you take it as such. Making it a joke, instead of a derogatory term, takes the power out of it, and makes it your power instead.

While our opponents seek to defame us with the label of Christian nationalists, I believe we should wear the label proudly. We are followers of King Jesus, Who gave us the authority and power to rule on Earth as His viceroys.
We are also proud Americans who oppose a one-world government of the elite over the masses. We oppose the “screen door on a submarine” that is our border with Mexico. And we oppose all the evils our opponents have brought against Truth, Justice, and the American way.
