Sex and SEX in the Bible

Introduction

Dutch Sheets recently gave a talk about the reproductive power of God’s words from our mouths. It made me think that the Author of Life dictated sex and SEX in the Bible.

A Memory of SEX in a Story

Decades ago, I read the story of a young girl (Mister God, This Is Anna) who had a special relationship with God. She talked and acted as if she had a special pipeline to His voice. In one chapter, she held the tip of one finger against a thin rubber or plastic membrane and studied the result. Anna declared that one side looked like a man’s “bit” while the other looked like a woman’s part. Further conversation had the author relating that Anna had not only discovered sex, she had discovered SEX.

Dutch Sheets Talked about SEX in the Bible

In his video, PROPHETIC DECREES: AMERICA’S SPIRITUAL REVIVAL, he explained the wording of Hebrew and Greek texts about Holy Spirit and God’s words. He said that the Creator’s Spirit “was hovering over the face of the deep (Genesis 1:2)”. The word “hovering” pictured a husband hovering over his wife in the act of marriage (24:30, ff).

Dutch said that when Jesus taught the Parable of the Sower, He called His words “seed”. The Greek word is “sperma”. In effect, His word has the power to reproduce, to turn barrenness into fruitfulness. The 99-year-old man and the 90-year-old woman had never conceived. However, when God said it’s time to have a baby, they were going to have a baby. (18:14, ff)

Creating by God’s Words

Dutch also talked (8:23, ff) about Jesus speaking and creating three times in John 1:3. Today, when God puts His words in the mouth of a person, that person speaks His words for Him and, since they were His words, they were not without power.  They had the ability to bring forth, to do what He said, to accomplish what He pleased. (16:05)

This goes along with my blog post of 2024/02/09, 3 Truths, 4 Principles Needed to Survive – Even Thrive. Jesus is no longer here to accomplish things by the power of the Spirit. However, He authorized His people to speak His words and accomplish things by the power of the Spirit. Religious people don’t like the idea of discussing sex, certainly not in church or in studying the Bible. Their religion is impotent. Conversely, God’s word, spoken by His people, has the potency to reproduce God’s will on the Earth today.
